Maurice Hayes is the Founder and Executive Director of HV Neighborhood Transformation (Hood Voice, Vote, and Vision). A non-profit organization focused on the elimination of gun violence in "High Hope Areas" especially amongst the youth.
"Reese" is also the creator and founder of Spit With a Purpose and Crying Wolf Backwards Apparel.
Legitimate, transformative, change with tangible results for everyone who is economically challenged by empowering the youth with practical skills as creators, accessible resources for entrepreneurs, opportunities for career seekers, and outlets for those who are positively determined to overcome their current situation is Maurice "Reese" Hayes' main mission. Leading by example, he embodies and personifies his mission utilizing his groundbreaking voice as a Poet and Spoken Word Artist to unite communities releasing his work via his S.P.I.T. With a Purpose record label. Maurice also demonstrates his message of reform through fashion establishing Crying Wolf Backwards. C.W.B. is a action-first, high-end streetwear brand representing unapologetic, positive change and creativity in and outside of "High Hope Areas" amongst it's wearers.

Maurice Hayes is the author of the books "Behind These Eyes Volumes 1 & 2. Volume 1 is a powerful collection of poetic works depicting the stigmas of the American prison system, and overcoming the systemic obstacles facing African Americans in our country. Volume 2 is the auto-biography of Maurice Hayes. Chronicaling Maurice's commitments to himself, his community, and his mission to eliminate gun violence while always persisting to overcome a savage past.
